Valerie’s Outstanding Achievements Include:
- Working for the Howard Center in a transitional house for women coming out of incarceration helping them reintegrate into the community. The program worked on supporting these women in getting jobs, reuniting with families and building a healthy lifestyle.
- Starting Honey Field Farm in Norwich, producing organic locally grown crops through a community based lens.
- Collaborating as a local farmer with local agencies and organizations like Willing Hands, Vermont Food Bank and NOFA-VT Farm Share Program to address food insecurities for Vermont residents.
- Creating greenhouse pop-up markets offering local farmers, bakers, artists and makers a spot to market their goods to their community.
