Nominated by: Emily Wesson
“Amy is a selfless woman whose mission is to help Vermonters and families in foster care and in need.” – Emily Wesson
Amy Anderson is the creator of Amy’s Armoire, a thrift store in Barre that is making a difference. When you shop, volunteer or donate at Amy’s Armoire you help children and families right here in Vermont. Amy’s goal is to fill the gaps that foster, adoptive, KIN and guardianship families experience in an overstretched and underfunded system. Funds from Amy’s Armoire go right to supporting these children and families. Amy’s Armoire has partnerships with Project Family and VKAP – Vermont Kin as Parents and is dedicated to serving as many families as possible to make a difference in the community.
If you are a Vermont foster/adopt or kin family there go to their website and register so you can stay up to date on what is going on at Amy’s Armoire and what support they are offering. For others interested in learning more about the organization and ways to help go to www.Amysarmoire.org and follow them on Facebook!
