Congratulations to our winner, Teryn Hytten, one of our Outstanding Women of 2025!

Nominated by: Anna Main
“Teryn has already has done so much for her community at her young age and I’m inspired to be a better person because of her generous spirit, hard work and dedication to helping those in need.” – Anna Main
Teryn, a senior at Champlain Valley Union High School, organized an Empty Bowls dinner at CVU to raise funds for the Hinesburg Community Resource Center and Food Shelf. After learning about the needs of her community Teryn rallied her peers, instructors, and community members to make over 300 ceramic bowls for the dinner. She also organized outreach efforts, secured donations and spoke at the event which raised over $6000, a rare and much appreciated donation for the local food shelf! Teryn’s efforts have made a significant impact on the lives of many in the Hinesburg community, and is an inspiration to her peers and mentors. As a young person just heading into the world Teryn is someone who will truly make a difference by spreading kindness, compassion, and support to all who may need it. Teryn is hosting another Empty Bowls dinner this year in April.
