Gabby Barrett has opened up about how faith and marriage have affected her career.

On the “Unexpected With Hannah Love” podcast, the country music star revealed that she always gave priority to her marriage ahead of big career opportunities.

“There have been large song opportunities that have come in for me to duet on and be a part of, and [that’s something] between myself and my husband. I respect him a ton, and I listen to what he has to say, and I think he deserves that. The Bible talks about us doing that for our husbands,” she told the podcast host Hannah Mooney.

Barrett made it clear that if she’s offered a duet role on a love song with a male artist, and if that is going to make her husband uncomfortable, she will turn down the offer.

“I respect and love him so much that I am not gonna jeopardize my marriage to do a duet with somebody,” she said.

She said some fans have expressed concern over this decision.

Meanwhile, Barrett is awaiting good news next year. Her sophomore album, Chapter & Verse, is scheduled for release in February. Also, she is due to deliver her third child the same month.

Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner are parents to Baylah, 2, and Augustine, 1.
