Lainey Wilson recently released a trailer for Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country, a new special about her life and success.
“I experienced a lot of rejection, a lot of heartache. I’m a tough woman, but it’s not easy. I have my days where you gotta do whatever you can to crawl out of those dark holes,” Wilson is seen saying in the trailer.
The trailer, which sees Wilson reflecting on her journey, features photos from her childhood along with images and footage of her early days in Nashville.
“I remember sittin’ out in this camper trailer, cryin’ my eyes out, thinking, ‘Is it ever gone happen?’” she says. “But Mama and Daddy didn’t raise no quitter.”
The special also brings to the fore the key moments in Wilson’s meteoric career rise, including her CMA entertainer of the year win and her Grammy win earlier this year. It also delves into the hardships Wilson has faced along the way, including her father’s health struggles in 2022, while she was filming her first season on “Yellowstone.”
Robin Roberts‘ production unit ABC News Studios produced Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country. It features Wilson conversing with Roberts, Bobby Bones and Jelly Roll.
“I look forward to telling stories about talented women who are strong and authentic,” Roberts said in a press release. “Lainey is definitely one of those women, and I can’t wait to share her uplifting story with audiences around the world.”
The special is scheduled to premiere on Hulu on May 29, a few days ahead Wilson’s headlining Country’s Cool Again tour, which begins with two shows at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater on May 31 and June 1.
