On Sunday (October 13), Lainey Wilson shared the exciting news that she will be performing live during halftime at this year’s Dallas Cowboys annual Thanksgiving Day football game. The country star also revealed that she will be joined by an as-yet-unnamed special guest during her performance, which is part of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff charity drive during the holidays. Wilson made the announcement with an Instagram video that features her flanked by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, with the singer even getting in some coordinated high-kicks with the world famous cheer team. “Am I the first person to do that in bell-bottoms,” Wilson jokingly asked. Wilson wants the Salvation Army to get as much attention as her singing, as she says in the clip, “You may know me for my bell-bottoms, but I want to be known for my bell ringing too. We’re going to kick-off the giving season right.” (Taste of Country)
