Carly Pearce recently shared a new single, “Fault Line,” from her upcoming fourth studio album, Hummingbird.

Pearce, Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally and Jordan Rynolds co-wrote “Fault Line.”

The song sees Pearce sing about a tumultuous relationship. “We’re livin’ on a fault line / Right down the middle of this house. / Between the whiskey and the red wine / It’s like we’re standing on shaky ground. / It always hits about midnight. / Should probably go and find a for sale sign. / ‘Cause we’re livin’ on a fault line/ And the fault is always mine,” she sings in the chorus.

“Some of my favorite songs were in the era of Tammy Wynette and George Jones,” said Pearce. “‘Fault Line’ is my take on writing one of those classic, ‘I’m gonna rip your head off’ country songs. The playful angst in this song makes it one of my favorite moments on the record.”

Pearce also released the song’s accompanying video, the latest in her “Through the Lens” series.

Hummingbird, which is co-produced by Pearce, McAnally and Josh Osborne, is due out on June 7th via Big Machine.

The 14-track record marks Pearce’s debut as a co-producer.
