Grammy-nominated, Platinum-certified singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope has announced she will release her new album, Hereditary, on July 12th. Pope also shared a new song, titled “Three of Us,” and an accompanying video.

Hereditary marks Pope’s first full-length record after her shift to her pop punk roots from country.

“Three of Us” speaks about how substance abuse impacts relationships. Through the video, which is set against a backdrop of hanging notes written by those who have experienced the devastating effects of addiction, the singer urges viewers to confront the realities of substance abuse with care.

“‘Three Of Us’ is about how heartbreaking it is to watch someone you love struggle with addiction. It’s a subject I’ve never written about but feel ready to share with my fans. And unfortunately, I know many of them have experienced something similar,” says Pope.

The song reminds one that even amidst darkest moments, there is always hope for redemption and renewal.

“My new album Hereditary offers a soundtrack to navigate the complexities of life with authenticity and courage. I couldn’t think of a better backdrop for these lyrics than pop/punk and I hope this album gives people permission to feel everything!” Pope says about the new album.

The Voice” winner has also announced that she will embark on a tour this summer in support of Hereditary.

The Hereditary Tour, which is set to kick off on July 11 in Anaheim, California, will have stops in Los Angeles, Knoxille, Albany, Charleston and several other places. The final concert is scheduled to take place on July 31 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
