Luke Bryan has revealed his plans to continue his musical journey for 2024 with a tour, new music, and a return as a judge on “American Idol.”
“My main thing is always to focus on trying to write songs. Carving out enough time to write songs. Making some albums. And then having a nice balance,” he told Audacy‘s “Rob + Holly” podcast.
“I’m definitely going to be out on tour,” Bryan added. “We haven’t announced all of that stuff yet, but it’s comin’ down the pipeline.”
“The past couple years of my life with American Idol, Vegas [residency], my tour dates and stuff put a lot on my plate and I’ve learned that I can survive it,” he said. “It’s been like two years of Navy Seal training for me – but the main thing is a nice balance.”
Bryan has sat on the judging panel for “American Idol” since 2018 and will continue for a seventh year beginning in February.
The country singer, songwriter, and television personality said he also hopes to spend more time alongside his family members in the new year.
“When I’m home, I love being home, I love being with my family almost too much,” he laughed. “I’ve done a really, really great job of brainwashing any children into doing exactly what I like to do.”
Bryan said he has “got a lot of crazy little things that we’ll try to check off the list as a family,” including a New Zealand Brown Trout fishing trip and riding a horse in the Arctic Circle.
