In this week’s People cover story, Riley Keough opens up about the sad passing of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, back in 2023. The interview with Keough is promoting Presley’s posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, which Riley helped finish after her mother’s death. The book is set to be published on October 8, and it details the highs and tragic lows of Presley’s life, including the loss of her famous father, Elvis, as well as the tragic suicide of her son Benjamin in 2020 when he was just 27 years old. “My mom tried her best to find strength for me and my younger sisters after Ben died, but we knew how much pain she was in,” says Riley. “My mom physically died from the after effects of her surgery, but we all knew she died of a broken heart.” (People)
