Shaboozey‘s hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and Country Airplay charts for ten weeks now. But the breakout singer is changing gears on “Highway,” the emotional new single from his RIAA-Gold certified record, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. The music video for the song – which premiered on Friday (September 20) –  is directed by Aiden Cullen, who turns the lonesome journey Shaboozey writes about into a cinematic companion piece to the moving tune. The clip is reminiscent of Wim Wenders’ 1984 road classic film, Paris, Texas, and it captures Shaboozey getting over a bad breakup with only his guitar and his song to heal him. The video also stars Jonathan Masters as a cowboy, while Tanner Johnson is the motorcycle rider in the clip. Ahead of the single and video release, Shaboozey gave a stirring performance of “Highway” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday. (Uproxx)
